Mushrooms, Burns and Leafy Glades

I think lots of folks are a bit pissed off in this country because the forecasters told us we were in for a good summer and we clearly aint getting one.

However in the true spirit of Light and Dark I've decided to emphasize the positive side of shit summers.

1. It's fantastic for the mushrooms. Just check out the size of those monsters.

2. It keeps the rivers and burns running in all their peaty glory.

3. Everythings Gone Green (with apologies to New Order).

  4. Its good to find something positive, and living up here in Scotland, thats a pretty easy attitude to have, as all this scenery is all around us just waiting to be photographed.
The burn running to the north of Edzel (I forget its name now...durr)is looking particularly photogenic right now.

  5. Just think Neil, if we had long hot summers we wouldn't have many green leafy places left, they'd be covered in hotels and tourists.
