Oh yes the red roof by the sea has it. It just takes your breath away it's so pretty. Makes me think of that poem...Let me live in my house by the side of the road and be a friend of man. I can't remember who wrote that.
What a hard life the crofters led. Exposed to the four winds and driving rain, to cold that for so much of the year inhibits the growth of grass, eking out existence, yet with character and endurance beyond belief they struggled on, they loved and laughed, sang and raised their families and had a view to die for.
