A Scottish Road Trip

So........ where do you take a visitor to Scotland?...... First stop is obvious...

Then...... You go to Loch Ness and watch for the monster as the sun goes down....

Next is the Bealach Na Ba summit..... after scaring the shit out of your passenger!....

After that is a perfect lunch of Haddock and Chips and McEwans 80/- at the Applecross Inn.....

Of course the obligatory Eilan Donan creeps in somewhere..... not quite in sync here.....

The evening spent at Ruadh Rea lighthouse...... an experience that everyone should have once in a lifetime....

Polished off with a boat trip into Loch Coruisk and the Cuillins on Skye.

  1. Picture postcards galore - love the Eilan Donan one.

  2. Wow......all star holiday pics well done! the boat trip looks stunning.....will have to try and dye some yarn in that shades if you don't mind...

  3. great - you saw coruisk on a slightly nice day !

  4. F&S : It's difficult to take crap pics of Eilan Donan!

JM : I'd love to see the results!

Donnie : A superb day. And thanks for the tip about Rowan Cottage. Lovely place!

Naldo : Thanks too for your tips on Embra. We were in Fort Augustus last Monday. Pity our schedules didn't match. One day mate!

  5. Stunning scenery and Superb photography. Nuf said.

  6. Brings back the memories. Applecross so good had to visit twice. Scarey drive to the lighthouse B & B avoiding the animals and the perfect perfect views at sunset on the way back. Bliss.......... Scotland at its best. And the ropey bridge back to the cottage on the island at high tide.

  7. Oh, these beautiful photos brought back wonderful memories of my life in Skye and travels in the West Highlands. So glad you enjoyed lovely weather there! :)
