In Just Spring

in Just- by E. E. Cummings

in Just-
spring when the world is mud-
luscious the little lame baloonman

whistles far and wee

and eddyandbill come
running from marbles and
piracies and it's
spring

when the world is puddle-wonderful

the queer
old baloonman whistles
far and wee
and bettyandisbel come dancing

from hop-scotch and jump-rope and

it's
spring
and
the
goat-footed

baloonMan whistles
far
and
wee

e.e.cummings 1932

I wanted to include this with my last post but the stupid bloody thing wouldn't let me..... so here it is now.

  1. A very beautiful flower picture and I love the poem. Mud-luscious and puddle-wonderful are fantastic words!

  2. Love the way you took the capture from the back of the blossoms. Makes for a very beautiful shot. Smiles B

  3. I've always loved this poem. I find it quite disturbing. Who the hell is this 'goat footed balloonman'?
