Thank you all for the birthday wishes. The top pic is indeed starlings doing that magical swirly thing they do in the evenings. Woylinski - The camera is a Sony Alpha 230. Very much entry range but a big step up from my Panasonic compact. So I'm having lots of fun with it. Glad you enjoyed the Enya tune.... it's one which holds a special significance for me. And is that Eilan Donan at the end of the vid?
Happy birthday Neil, your pictures are great especially the starlings. I hope you have many more happy days with your new camera, I'm looking forward to seeing more lovely shots.
Brilliant photos! I love that first one - are those ducks or geese migrating?
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of camera? Do tell. Beautiful photos.
ReplyDeleteLadyfi, i'm guessin those are starlings. And maybe i need to get out more but they look like Bob Dylan in profile to me.
ReplyDeleteThat was a fine silhouette made by birds. Maybe the silhouette could be Enya singing that lovely tune.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday Neil - beautiful photographs and Enya singing - sublime!
ReplyDeleteSerene and peaceful shots! Enya makes any video or photo more beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday!
Happy Birthday, Neil! What a great birthday present! Really gorgeous shots, love the video and, yes, Enya does indeed add to the beauty!
