    Ladyfi, i'm guessin those are starlings. And maybe i need to get out more but they look like Bob Dylan in profile to me.

    That was a fine silhouette made by birds. Maybe the silhouette could be Enya singing that lovely tune.

    Thank you all for the birthday wishes.
    The top pic is indeed starlings doing that magical swirly thing they do in the evenings.
    Woylinski - The camera is a Sony Alpha 230. Very much entry range but a big step up from my Panasonic compact. So I'm having lots of fun with it.
    Glad you enjoyed the Enya tune.... it's one which holds a special significance for me.
    And is that Eilan Donan at the end of the vid?
