St Vigeans Church and village

The cottages viewed from the churhyard.

This is the church where the sundial in my Blog header can be found. The church sits on top of the hill above the tiny hamlet of St Vigeans. I once considered buying one of the cottages in the village and it's a source of regret that I didn't. It's such a beautiful, peaceful place and cottages don't come on the market very often..... he who procrastinates.....

  1. I love the shot of the churchyard, do you know how old the church is?

  2. You certainly missed a great opurtunity when you didn't buy one of these old cottages, they look fantastic, and so does the church, I really like the way the cottages curve around.

  3. Jed - I think the church dates back to the 12th century, so roughly 800 years old. If you're interested this site will give you much more info on the history and architecture of the church. http://www.stvigeanschurch.org/history.htm

Glennis - It really is one of my favourite places. I'll post some more pics in the near future.
