Memories

Memories of an all too brief period of summer we had a few weeks ago..... it's rained since then. I think it's gonna rain tonight... and tomorrow....

  1. Gorgeous shots and I particularly love the last one! I do so hope you get more weeks like these! Living in Seattle, I do know how you feel and this past winter I got so tired of gray and rain and cold. Wish I could send you some of our sunshine -- don't know how long it will last though!

  2. That first shot is quite cool - not sure if it's the lens or what but it's like seeing the curvature of the earth - is it the curvature of the earth?

Oh duh Marnie, it's probably those things called hills, lol... god, but I'm dense sometimes!

Like Sylvia, who's just across the straight, I'd send you some of our unrelenting sunshine. My eyes hurt from squinting!

Where is that bottom pic from, Neil? Very nice!

  3. Aw, thank you both, I feel the warmth of your virtual sunshine already.
You were right first time Marnie, it's the curvature of the earth. I took it from 42,000 feet. ;-)
The bottom pic was taken just off the main coastal road between Stonehaven and Montrose. I'd just turned off towards Arbuthnott and glanced out towards my left when I saw this view. As usual I screeched to a halt, then checked my mirrors.... lol.

That first one looks as though it could be a desktop shot for Windows...

  12. Very pretty! We've had lots of rain too - 15 out of 20 days in June and it's 70 degrees F. Our normal high is 81 degrees.
